Don...I am glad you have a plan in front of you! Don't worry about what others will say about the sodium and preservatives in those microwavable dinners. If it works for you, then do it. Not to mention, how much worse can it be than overeating?

One of the things I prepare ahead of time is chicken. I just put a few chicken breasts in the oven. Then I shred it -- it's great throughout the week for chicken tacos, a wrap, to add to soup, salads, pasta, etc.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3945615482833319615.post-65598914112076792772010-08-10T11:13:05.569-07:002010-08-10T11:13:05.569-07:00I also like Lyn's blog. I started this thing back in January of this year and I have only lost 27 lbs, but if I had stayed on track it would be a lot more. I fully understand mindless eating.Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02798258368914735601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3945615482833319615.post-41857325265167403712010-08-10T11:02:13.837-07:002010-08-10T11:02:13.837-07:00That is an awesome idea!! There are so many things...That is an awesome idea!! There are so many things you could prepare in advance! Cut a whole bag of veggies and have them on hand to snack on or to whip up a quick stir fry. Make a whole meatloaf and put them into individual sized portions to just thaw and microwave. You could do that with sloppy joes, taco meat, whatever! I feed 1000 people here so I make things in bulk all the time. I just did a ground turkey freezer day where I made 4 meatloafs, sloppy joes, taco meat, burgers and meatballs. Then I just pull them out of the fridge as I need them. You could do similar but just cook and then portion them out so you just have to reheat!

I am so glad you are excited for this, I hope it works well for you!! My recipe blog has a lot of meals that would be great for this and the calorie counts are all figured out.
